Regional Engineering College (REC), Kurukshetra, an engineering and technology institute, was established in 1963. This institution, is a joint enterprise of the Government of India and the State Government of Haryana. In addition to providing education in various disciplines of Engineering and Technology at the undergraduate level and post-graduate level, the College offers excellent facilities for advanced research in the emerging areas of science and technology. Syllabus and the curricula are constantly being updated to meet the growing demands and needs of the country in different areas of technology. The infrastructure is geared to enable the College to turn out technical personnel of a high quality. The college is affiliated to the Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, Haryana.
Hostels: Hostel accommodation is available for all the B. Tech. students. Hostel accommodation is also provided for M. Tech. and B. E. Students. There are 5 hostels for boys and one for girls.
Instructional Blocks: The instructional buildings include: 6 blocks and a workshop. Each block has within it, offices for the staff, lecture-halls, tutorial rooms and various laboratories. As a new addition to this infrastructure a mini-auditorium has been added.

B. Tech Courses: The admission to these B. Tech courses is done through a Common Engineering Entrance Test (CEET) which used to be conducted by REC, Kurukshetra every year (From this year 2000-01 onwards it is being conducted by Guru Jambheshwar University, Hissar.
