Spot-billed Pelican (Pelecanus philippensis) also called Grey Pelican. This globally threatened bird is a rare winter visitor. Locally called Hawasil, Hawaso or Lorer, it is found in the wetlands of Haryana. Their chief food is fish. This bird has an elastic bag under the length its bill, which acts as a landing net for the fish.
