Little Grebe (Tachybaptus ruficollis), also known as Dabchick, is a common breeding resident in Haryana. This bird is found in the wetlands, especially in village ponds.

Order: CICONIIFORMES    Family: Podicipedidae    Local Name: Chhoti Pandubi    Food: Aquatic insects, tadpoles,  larvae etc    Size: 23 cm
