Lost in silent introspection, I stare in still water exchanging secret smiles with my captive image.
Sudden splash, reverie snaps, someone has thrown a stone, smashing the surface calm.
This turbulence radiates ripples of raging waves, defacing my reflection into bizarre bits of light.

Scattered pieces of puzzle, slowly swim back in place as nature resolves itself and I regain my face. |
