Greater Scaup (Aythya marila) is a very rare bird for Haryana. There are only historical records but a few sightings have been reported in Delhi recently.  Identification: Small diving duck with glossy greenish, rounded crown and yellow eyes. The bill is blue with black nail at tip. Dark wing with dark-tipped white secondaries and inner primaries and pale gray outer primaries. Adult males and females similar.
