Blue-throated Barbet (Megalaima asiatica) is a scarce winter visitor in Haryana. This bird is found in the hill forests. Identification: Throat, chin, and both sides of head are blue in color. Forehead is crimson colored and the rest of the body is grassy green. The bill is surrounded by black bristles. Sexes alike, with the males being a little larger than the females.
